As a 1998 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic – Davenport, Dr. Goodfellow provides the cornerstone of Chiropractic taught at Palmer – The Palmer Toggle Recoil. The Palmer Toggle Recoil began as a full-spine method of adjusting the spine. In the early 1900’s, Chiropractors began producing adjustments higher is the spine which added in healing of problems associated with lower areas. Eventually, the Palmer Toggle Recoil was used exclusively in the upper cervical (neck) region. This Palmer Upper Cervical or HIO became the basis for all upper cervical methods employed by Chiropractors today.

The hallmark achievement of Dr. Goodfellow was interning with the late E.L. Crowder DC, PhC. As the last director of the BJ Palmer Chiropractic Clinic (BJPCC), his private practice was a continuation of the BJPCC in methodology.
